Add Transfer Screen

To record transfer transactions between accounts in the Finanzy app, navigate to the Transfers page from the bottom menu and tap the (+) button. This will open the Add Transfer Screen, where you can select the type of transfer and provide the necessary details.

Transfer Types in Finanzy

Finanzy supports two main types of transfers:

  1. Internal Transfer: For transfers between accounts registered in the app.
  2. External Transfer: For transfers to or from accounts not registered in Finanzy, such as sending money to someone else.

Internal Transfer

Internal transfers are used to record transactions between your registered accounts in Finanzy.

  1. Transfer Type
    • Select Internal to indicate that the transfer is between two accounts registered in the app.
  2. From Account
    • Choose the account from which the money is being sent.
  3. To Account
    • Choose the account that will receive the money.
    • Note: To add an internal transfer, you must have at least two accounts registered in the app. If no accounts are available, create new accounts on the Accounts page.
  4. Amount
    • Enter the amount being transferred.
    • The currency will default to the currency of the From Account.
    • Multicurrency Mode:
      • If the Multicurrency Mode is enabled and you are transferring money between accounts with different currencies, an additional Amount Received field will appear.
      • In this field, enter the amount in the currency of the To Account.
      • This ensures accurate tracking of cross-currency transfers.
  5. Note
    • Add a note to remember details about the transfer.
  6. Date
    • Select the date of the transfer. Past and future dates are allowed.
    • Note: You cannot select a date earlier than the later creation date of the From Account or To Account.
  7. Effect Account Balance
    • This option appears for future-dated transfers.
    • If enabled, the transfer amount will immediately impact the account balances.
    • If disabled, the balances will only be updated on the transfer date.
  8. Recurring
    • Enable this option if the transfer occurs at regular intervals.
  9. Recurrence Period
    • If Recurring is enabled, select the interval for the recurring transfer:
      • 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 6 months, or 1 year.
  10. Recurring Count
    • Specify how many times the transfer should repeat.
    • Enter 0 if you want the transfer to continue indefinitely until manually stopped.
    • Note: Recurring transfers are created and visible one week before their scheduled date.
  11. Reminder
    • Enable this option for future or recurring transfers to receive a notification one day before the transfer date.
    • Note: Ensure that notifications are enabled in the app’s Settings and your device’s notification settings.
  12. Add Transfer
    • Once all required fields are completed, tap the Add Transfer button to save the transfer.

External Transfer

External transfers record money movement between registered accounts in Finanzy and external accounts (not registered in the app). External transfers are further divided into:

  1. Incoming Transfer
    • Use this to record money received from an external source (e.g., a bank account not registered in Finanzy).
    • The only difference from an internal transfer is that the From Account must be entered manually instead of being selected from a list.
  2. Outgoing Transfer
    • Use this to record money sent to an external destination (e.g., someone else’s account or an external account not registered in Finanzy).
    • The From Account is selected from registered accounts in Finanzy, while the To Account is entered manually.

The Add Transfer Screen is designed to handle both simple and complex transfer scenarios, providing a seamless way to track and manage internal and external financial transactions.
